Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI

INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL WITH VIP FAST TRACK SERVICE

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon touchdown at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport you will be met right at the airplane's arrival gate by friendly Fast Track Service staff. You will be whisked through immigration via the diplomatic lane, have your luggage retrieved and carried, and be delivered to your Hanoi host waiting for you in the Arrival Hall. A private vehicle will be ready to take you to your hotel.

Depending on the time of arrival, enjoy the evening at leisure in your hotel or get ready to hit the ground running and dive into Vietnam's vibrant capital city.

WELCOME TO HANOI
Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes

This afternoon we'll head out to explore the hotel's neighborhood area and step into vintage Hanoi with a little historical overview, a traditional Vietnamese coffee, and a glimpse of Hanoians at work, rest and play around the city's largest natural landmark. There is no better place to get oriented. We'll cap off the evening with some mouth-watering authentic Vietnamese cuisine at one of the city's excellent restaurants, hand-picked for its refined take on the capital's classic dishes.

DAY 2: HANOI

HANOI INSIDE OUT

Duration: 6 hours

Hanoi has been the Vietnamese capital since 1010 A.D so there are an endless amount of stories to be regaled from within the city's bustling alleyways and diverse quarters. Today, we'll turn Hanoi inside out as we immerse ourselves in these stories.

The must-sees of the Old Quarter are best explored in a cyclo: a bicycle-powered rickshaw driven from behind by a native Hanoian! Drift elegantly through the busy inner streets, taking in the hustle and bustle on all sides. You'll then be chauffeured on the back of a scooter by one of our experienced motorcycle drivers and visit the Temple of Literature, the Parisian boulevards of the French Quarter and, if you're up for it, Ho Chi Minh's Museum complex and the historic Ba Dinh Square.

The sightseeing will be complemented by two essential Vietnamese experiences: slurping on a bowl of Noodle Soup (Pho) and sipping on some traditional Vietnamese ice coffee (Cafe Sua Da), or even egg-coffee (Ca phe trung) as a unique and delicious drink that originated in Hanoi.

Note: The motorbikes are normal motorbikes and not Vespas to provide maximum safety, flexibility and tailored experiences. The experienced drivers are English speaking students majoring in English/Tourism in college & university, hoping to become guides - guests are contributing to the future of tourism which we are passionate about and stand behind.

MEET LEGENDARY PILOT NGUYEN HONG MY

Visiting Hanoi wouldn't be complete without a special visit to former Pilot Hong My's home. Nguyen Hong My was the first pilot to shoot down an American fighter jet in 1972. At that time, the American Air Force had no idea about the strength of the Vietnamese Air Force. In the same year, My's MIG-21 was shot down by Daniel Edwards Cherry flying a F4. My's two arms were broken and he was demobilized. He could not fly anymore, but returned to studying economics, got married, and had two children. Pilot My was later granted the Ho Chi Minh order after his victory for shooting down the first American fighter jet. He also met his adversary, Edwards, and visited the United States where he was honored on a postage stamp. My enjoys welcoming guests and chatting about the roller coaster of Vietnam-US relations, and how Vietnam has developed over the last few decades.

DAY 3: HANOI TO HA LONG BAY

BHAYA LEGEND PRIVATE CRUISE DAY 1: HALONG & BAI TU LONG BAY

Duration: transfer approx. 2 hours 30 minutes by road, then overnight cruise

No trip to Northern Vietnam is complete without a visit to Ha Long Bay, a remarkable seascape of lush, rainforest-clad limestone islands and pillars jutting out of the surrounding emerald blue water as far as the eye can see. And there is no better way to experience this UNESCO World Heritage Site than by sailing through the calm, scenic waters on board an elegantly designed and high-standard Junk ship. We will drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay where, upon arrival, your crew will welcome everyone aboard the ship and set sail into the Bay. Situate yourself on the deck and take in the never ending parade of karsts, caves, and coves passing by on all sides. In the afternoon we'll explore a couple of the area's deep caves before a sunset kayak paddle, followed by relaxation and dinner.

Program details: Arrival to Bhaya Cruise Center at Tuan Chau International Marina. Board your Bhaya Legend and meet your crew. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink followed by a cruise safety briefing presented by your private butler. Lunch is served onboard - enjoy the local fare while Bhaya Legend sails towards the southeast of Halong Bay, passing Fighting-cock Islet and Titop Islet. In the afternoon, explore Cong Do area by kayak; with an area of 23,363 km2 and a 172m high mountain, Cong Do area is famous for its natural and pristine beauty. Return to the boat and freshen up - this is the perfect time to sip some cocktails and immerse in the glorious sunset of Halong Bay. Dine over candlelight with a sumptuous set-dinner in the dining room, then retire to your cabin for an early night or join our crew for squid fishing.

DAY 4: HALONG & BAI TU LONG BAY

BHAYA LEGEND - 2 CABIN CHARTER BOAT DAY 2

Main attraction: Cap La - Tra San / Vung Vieng Floating Village

Things to do: Tai Chi on sundeck / Kayak & swim in Cap La - Tra San area / Visit Vung Vieng Fisherman Village by rowing boats / Vietnamese family-spirit cooking demonstration / Bhaya's complimentary herbal foot bath

Attraction:
- Cap La - Tra San area: Far from the mainland, Cap La - Tra San Area is isolated from normal tourist routes so the landscape here still retains many primitive features and a very clean environment. Here a lot of coral reefs are concentrated, with underground lakes inside the limestone mountain and underwater caves.
- The dreamy Vung Vieng Floating Village: Bobbing at a quiet location over 20 km from the mainland in the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay, Vung Vieng Floating Village is an ideal place for exploring the local lifestyle of sailing and fishing. Scenes of the fishing boats with nets hung out to dry and the laughter of local families give Vung Vieng an idyllic and traditional character.

Activities (on-board & off-board):
- Taichi on Sundeck: Rejuvenating the body and spirit with a refreshing Tai Chi lesson as the sun rises over the acclaimed UNESCO Heritage Site is one of the most relaxing experiences that passengers have.
- Kayak and swim at Cap La - Tra San area: Threading your way through the karst towers allows you to fully take in the magnificent beauty of nature. After the kayak, drop by a secluded strip of white sandy beach for some time soaking in the sun and swimming in the cool water.
- Explore Vung Vieng Floating Village: Be ready for stunning views of the floating village while paddling along the incredible tranquil emerald-colored sea and try out a traditional rowing boat. It is the chance to experience moments in the life of the local fishermen who were born on the emerald-colored sea.
- Vietnamese family-spirit cooking demonstration: Try your hand to create authentic Vietnamese dishes or observe the fruit carving demonstration by our chefs. Don't forget to check out the magical Halong sunset scene serving as background.
- Relax with Bhaya's complimentary herbal foot bath: This traditional remedy is made from medicinal plants grown in the Northwest region of Vietnam and infused with mineral salts, activated carbon and natural herbs such as ginger, mint, cinnamon, helping to relieve muscle fatigue and promote restful sleep for all passengers.

DAY 5: HALONG BAY TO SAIGON

BHAYA LEGEND - 2 CABIN CHARTER BOAT DAY 3, DOMESTIC FLIGHT & ARRIVAL IN SAIGON

Main attraction: Thien Canh Son Cave
Things to do: Visit Thien Canh Son cave

Attraction: Thien Canh Son Cave, a vast cavern consisting of three main chambers with an access path to the cave hidden under a forest canopy, crossed by a cliff face.

Activities (on-board & off-board): Explore the heavenly scenes in Thien Canh Son Cave - Formations inside the cave come in a wide variety of shapes, and present images said to resemble a lotus, a baby elephant, seals, and flowers. Inside this dream chamber, stalactites look like scores of gnomes, apparently conducting a meeting, and the walls sparkle like the night sky when exposed to bright light.

Time to say goodbye to Northern Vietnam! You will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Welcome to Southern Vietnam and to the country's energetic commercial heart! Upon touchdown in Saigon (officially known as Ho Chi Minh City) collect your luggage and make your way to the arrivals hall where your friendly Saigon host will be waiting for you. A transfer vehicle will be ready to take you to your hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, enjoy the evening at leisure in your hotel or brace yourself for Saigon's organized chaos and metropolitan buzz.

DAY 6: SAIGON

THE HEARTBEAT OF SAIGON

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

HCMC (Saigon) is an eclectic mix of old and new architecture, history and culture. It is an energetic and exciting city with pockets of calm to escape the hustle and bustle of the main streets whenever needed. Feel the heartbeat of Vietnamese life in this amazing city whilst hanging out with your host. Everything happens over coffee in Vietnam, so let's begin there and decide where to go before diving into exploring the alleyways, parks, markets and historical highlights.

CU CHI TUNNELS WITH VETERAN MEETING AND SPEEDBOAT

Duration: 5 hours

The afternoon will be spent exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels where the Vietcong dug 250 kilometers of passageways from the Cambodian border towards Saigon, eventually capturing the city. While heavily visited, it's astounding what they constructed and you'll have the opportunity to squeeze through most of these very narrow passageways. This visit gives an enduring appreciation for the tenacity and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people.

A private speedboat with a picnic snack and drinks on board is a fun way to make your return journey from Cu Chi to Saigon with great views to be had from the river along the way.

Note: it is a 1.5 hour drive there by car and 1.5 hour return by speedboat.

DAY 7: GOODBYE VIETNAM
