Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI

HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon touchdown at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be met right at the airplane's arrival gate by friendly Fast Track Service staff. You will be whisked through immigration via the diplomatic lane, have your luggage retrieved and carried, and be escorted to your Hanoi host waiting for you in the Arrival Hall. A private vehicle will be ready to take you on an adventure back to Hanoi center.

THE ART OF EXPLORING HANOI

Duration: 6 hours

Hanoi has been the capital of Vietnam since 1010 A.D., and within its bustling streets and layered neighborhoods lie more than a thousand years of stories. Today, we delve into the heart of the city, discovering Hanoi not only through its landmarks, but through the rhythms of daily life that have shaped it across the centuries.

We explore the city in style, moving effortlessly between different modes of transportation. The journey begins with a vintage sidecar ride, gliding past some of the capital's most iconic sites before continuing into the French Quarter and around West Lake, where elegant gardens and some of Vietnam's oldest Buddhist monasteries offer moments of calm and reflection. A private van remains on standby throughout the day for added comfort and flexibility, allowing visits to key landmarks such as the Temple of Literature, unhurried walks along the tree-lined boulevards of the French Quarter, and, for those interested, the Ho Chi Minh Museum complex and historic Ba Dinh Square.

The Old Quarter reveals itself at a slower, more intimate pace aboard a traditional xích lô, a three-wheeled cyclo perfectly suited to absorbing the character of this thousand-year-old district. From there, we step into narrow alleyways that tell the story of the city's famed Thirty Six Streets, each named for the crafts and trades that have defined Hanoi's commercial life for generations.

The experience is gently completed with two essential tastes of Vietnam. We pause to savor a bowl of phở, the city's iconic noodle soup, and enjoy traditional Vietnamese iced coffee known as cà phê sữa đá. For the curious, there is also the opportunity to try cà phê trứng, Hanoi's celebrated egg coffee, a rich and distinctive creation that originated here and remains one of the city's most beloved rituals.

DAY 2: HANOI

ANCIENT TEA, TIMELESS REFLECTIONS

Duration: 1.5 hours

This is a rare opportunity to step into a moment of stillness and depth, shared in an intimate tea meditation with Nguyễn Đức Hạnh, an entrepreneur, meditator, and Buddhist practitioner. Born into a humble family in Northern Vietnam, Hạnh once believed that success and material achievement were the true measures of happiness. Yet at the height of his career, surrounded by outward success, he encountered an unexpected sense of emptiness. That quiet realization became a turning point, leading him toward meditation, compassion, and a more meaningful inner path.

In this private gathering, you will savor traditional Vietnamese tea while engaging in thoughtful, unhurried conversation with Hạnh. While Chinese and Japanese tea cultures are widely celebrated, few are aware that Vietnam is also one of the ancient cradles of tea. Archaeological evidence reveals that wild tea trees have existed here for thousands of years. Vietnam remains home to vast forests of ancient tea, some hundreds and even thousands of years old, found nowhere else in the world. Across generations, tea has been woven quietly into Vietnamese life. Among all its expressions, one tea stands apart for its rarity and symbolism. Lotus tea was once reserved exclusively for royalty. Created by gently infusing tea leaves within freshly opened lotus flowers at dawn, it embodies purity, elegance, and spiritual refinement.

During the session, you will be introduced to the art and philosophy of Vietnamese tea, its history, and its rituals. From there, the conversation naturally opens into gentle reflections on suffering, impermanence, non-self, and the nature of true happiness. This is not simply a tea tasting. It is an invitation into mindfulness, culture, and self-discovery, shared in a way that feels personal and quietly profound. For those fortunate enough to be present, it may become one of those rare moments that lingers long after the tea has cooled.

HA GIANG

ABOVE THE UNTOUCHED NORTH, HÀ GIANG

Duration: 8.5 hours

Our next destination is Hà Giang, one of Vietnam's most remote and spectacular regions, celebrated for its dramatic limestone mountains and untouched landscapes. With no airport or rail connections, its remarkable beauty remains largely undiscovered.

Rather than the usual six-hour drive, your journey begins with a short transfer from central Hanoi to Gia Lam Airport for a private helicopter flight of approximately one hour to Hà Giang. As the city fades below, rivers, valleys, and mountain ridges unfold in a breathtaking panorama visible to only a privileged few.

Upon landing at a private military-operated helipad, we continue by scenic drive to Bắc Mê and the secluded P'apiu Resort, your retreat for the next two days. After settling into your private villa, enjoy lunch in the comfort of your own space before spending the afternoon at leisure. Later, join your host for a gentle walk to a nearby village to discover the traditions and daily life of the Tay ethnic community.

As evening falls, a private bonfire awaits beside your villa, accompanied by an outdoor feast and traditional performances by local villagers celebrating the heritage of their community.

DAY 3: HA GIANG

BAC ME ODYSSEY, THE HIDDEN HEART OF HA GIANG

Duration: 6 hours

Set out from P'apiu Resort on a curated day of exploration through the landscapes and cultures of Bắc Mê. Travel by bicycle through villages of the Tay, Dao, and Hmong communities, gaining an intimate glimpse into their daily lives and enduring traditions.

Along the way, visit a local farmer's home to sample traditional corn whiskey before continuing by bamboo raft along a peaceful river surrounded by pristine scenery.

For those seeking adventure, an optional guided exploration of Thiên Mã Cave- the Holy Horse Cave- offers a rare opportunity to discover one of Hà Giang's largely untouched karst wonders.

A beautifully prepared picnic lunch awaits in the countryside, featuring local specialties cooked on site by a village chef. Afterwards, continue cycling through fields and villages with opportunities to pause for tea and refreshments, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Return to the resort in the afternoon and unwind with a fragrant herbal leaf bath in the outdoor Jacuzzi, ending a day perfectly balanced between nature, culture, and relaxation.

DAY 4: HA GIANG

THE STILL HEIGHTS OF ĐỒNG VĂN

Duration: 7 hours

The day begins with a short drive to the private military helipad in Hà Giang, where your helicopter awaits for a 45-minute flight to the ancient mountain town of Đồng Văn- a journey that would otherwise take nearly four hours by road. From above, the dramatic limestone peaks of the karst plateau unfold in breathtaking layers, often described as the Oriental Alps.

Upon landing, continue by vintage jeep along Highway 4C, the legendary mountain road crossing the Đồng Văn Karst Plateau. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views over Tu Sản Canyon and the emerald waters of the Nho Quế River below.

In Tả Làng village, the journey becomes more intimate as you switch to guided scooters and follow quiet backroads down toward the river for a peaceful experience from the heart of the canyon.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant overlooking Tu Sản Canyon, where regional specialties are accompanied by spectacular views. Those wishing to explore further may opt for a hike through traditional Mông villages and herbal farms along the historic Sky Walk route.

Afterwards, return to the helipad for your flight back to Hà Giang and onward transfer to P'apiu Resort, where the remainder of the day is left at leisure.

DAY 5: HALONG

FROM PEAKS TO TIDES, A PRIVATE JOURNEY NORTH

Duration: 7 hours

Begin the morning slowly at P'apiu Resort, wrapped in mist, mountains, and deep silence. Take time to enjoy the resort's refined design and thoughtful facilities, wander through manicured gardens, and breathe in the cool highland air. Breakfast is served at leisure, prepared with fresh local ingredients and meant to be enjoyed without haste.

By late morning, you return briefly to Ha Giang City for a transition that quietly changes the rhythm of the journey. Instead of an eight-hour drive toward the coast, a private helicopter is waiting. In just around one hour, Northern Vietnam unfolds beneath you. Winding mountain roads give way to rivers and plains, then open water and limestone formations stretching toward the horizon.

Arrival is at Van Don International Airport, far from the crowded gateways used by conventional Ha Long cruises. A short, discreet transfer brings you directly to Ao Tien Marina, a modern and uncrowded port designed for smooth arrivals. There is no waiting, no tender boats, no unnecessary movement. You step straight onto your private yacht.

From here, you sail directly into Bai Tu Long Bay, a quieter and more remote part of the Ha Long seascape that remains beyond the reach of mass-market itineraries. Once onboard, lunch is served, prepared by the head chef as the yacht moves gently through a maze of limestone islands. In the Tra San area, the afternoon slows further. Kayak across calm waters, swim in clear emerald coves, or simply sit back and take in the untouched surroundings.

As evening approaches, you transition to a luxury overnight cruise, your sanctuary on the water for the night. Join the onboard chef for a Vietnamese cooking demonstration, then enjoy sunset drinks on deck as the sky softens into warm tones. Dinner follows, elegant and unforced, with the bay as a silent companion. End the day with night squid fishing beneath a starlit sky, then retreat to your cabin and sleep gently, lulled by still waters.

DAY 6: HALONG

HA LONG BAY HERITAGE UNCOVER

For early risers, the day begins on the sundeck with a gentle Vovinam session, Vietnam's traditional martial art, practiced slowly as the bay awakens. Tea and coffee are served afterward, best enjoyed in silence as limestone formations rise from the water and the scenery of this natural wonder unfolds around you.

Breakfast follows in the restaurant, with panoramic views stretching across the bay. Afterward, the journey continues deeper into less-traveled areas of Ha Long Bay, far beyond the routes of conventional cruises.

The morning is dedicated to exploration by kayak, gliding through calm waters toward hidden beaches, quiet lagoons, and natural tunnels further out toward the open sea. These remote areas remain untouched by mass tourism, places few visitors ever reach, and the sense of privacy is unmistakable.

Your kayaking route leads to the Hang Trai area, a site of exceptional historical and archaeological significance connected to Ha Long Culture, dating back nearly 10,000 years. Here, the landscape holds traces of an ancient civilization, with artifacts and evidence of early human life shaped by the rhythm of the sea.

Another intimate experience follows as you board a traditional bamboo boat and drift slowly through a floating village. Passing between clusters of floating homes, you gain a quiet understanding of daily life on the bay and the resilience of communities who have lived with these waters for generations.

The afternoon is unhurried. Return to the cruise to enjoy a relaxing massage on board, or join a private live cooking demonstration with the chef. Time is left intentionally open, allowing the bay to set the pace for the remainder of the day.

DAY 7: HALONG & HANOI

HALONG AT LEISURE & SEE YOU AGAIN IN VIETNAM!

Duration: 4 hours

Waking up today will feel like waking up in paradise. You will be captivated by the ever-unfolding natural beauty surrounding you from all sides. Enjoy a leisurely morning as you savor a delightful brunch served on the boat. Afterwards, return to shore for the drive back to Hanoi to catch your onward flight from Noi Bai Airport.

Bon voyage!
